Hunter, Druid, Priest and Warrior changes in WoW Forever

What Blizzard's class deep dives say changes for four classes: new baseline abilities, talents and racials.

Checked 2026-10-05. Blizzard material is © Blizzard Entertainment, Inc.

Hunter

Aimed Shot becomes a baseline ability at level 20. Traps can be used in combat, with a 30 second cooldown. Pets scale with the hunter’s gear, and Foxes join as a new pet family with Trickster’s Dance, which raises dodge chance and attack speed for 12 seconds. Each pet family gets its own ability.

New talents include Summon Hawk (Beast Mastery, up to two hawks), Lone Wolf (Marksmanship, 20% more damage with no pet) and Predator’s Edge (Survival, for melee critical damage and dual wielding). Source: Hunter and Druid deep dive.

Druid

Potions and nearly all similar consumables work while shapeshifted, weapon enchantments stay active, and racial abilities can be used in form. Lacerate is a new baseline ability at level 42.

Feral gets Shifting Power, which instantly gives 40 Energy for a mana cost, and Berserk. Restoration gets Wild Growth and Balance moves Insect Swarm to a 16 point talent. Source: Hunter and Druid deep dive.

Priest

Fear Ward and Devouring Plague become baseline at level 20 for every Priest, Divine Spirit at level 30 and Shadow Word: Death at level 32. Prayer of Healing now heals the target’s whole party. Racial spells are reworked, for example two new Gnome spells and Divine Grace for Humans.

Discipline gains Soul Warding and Penance, Holy gains Binding Heal and Prayer of Mending, and Shadow gains Devouring Contagion and Early Demise. Source: Priest and Warrior deep dive.

Warrior

Rage from damage ignores armor, and it is tied to weapon speed. Tactical Mastery is baseline at level 14. Recklessness, Retaliation and Shield Wall no longer share a cooldown, and Thunder Clap works in Defensive Stance with a 6 second cooldown.

Arms gets Spearing Strike and Weaponmaster, Fury gets Boundless Rage and Raging Blows, and Protection gets Vanguard. Source: Priest and Warrior deep dive.
